The past week has involved potato skins with bacon, salads with bacon, desserts with bacon, and even my own homemade meat candy (pecan praline bacon.) Details are coming…

365 Days of Bacon - Day #14 Bacon Advent
Day #14 of Bacon Advent was a very exciting day! The day was spent lunching and planning a new web series that will be premiering very soon…like next week soon. As I said very exciting! In all the excitement I realized, when I arrived home at 11:30pm, that I had not eaten any bacon. I KNOW…WTF? My web series partner in crime and I were lunching at Le Pain Quotidien and I was planning...
365 Days of Bacon - Day #13 Bacon Advent
Day #13 of Bacon Advent began with me feeling a bit sluggish. Perhaps it was from 12 straight days of eating bacon…just kidding, my body is a well-tuned, bacon digesting machine. Anyway, I decided I would make today a “healthier” eating day and have a salad…a BACON salad, lol. Yep, much healthier…NOT. So we trotted down Colorado Blvd. for lunch at Saladish.

365 Days of Bacon - Day #12 Bacon Advent
I love this pork nativity scene…but it is not what I ate for Day #12 of Bacon Advent.
On the 12th day of Bacon Advent I was invited to a Christmas party at one of my favorite restaurants and saved my bacon eating for the day for the party. My assumption was that there would be bacon at the party…because after all, it is not a real party without bacon right? Well, big bacon fail!...

365 Days of Bacon
Everything is better with bacon! No really, I honestly believe this 100%…so I have decided to test my theory. 2011 has been a pretty depressing year with the economy, unemployment, REM breaking up and the prolonged hazing that is my seminary education. I started thinking, “How can I ensure that 2012 will be a better year?” And then it came to me…BACON! Screw the 12 days of...

The Stolen Sidekick
In his book Here Comes Everybody, author Clay Shirky (2008) tells a very compelling story about the loss of a cell phone and how this incident mobilized groups of unrelated people to come together, share information, and accomplish something. A woman named Ivanna left her Sidekick cell phone in the back seat of a New York City cab. Once she realized it was gone she enlisted...
